What Each Premium Feature Actually Does#
Unlimited Playlists#
Playlist limits can change; check the current Premium feature list shown in the app. If you subscribe to two services, or want to add a free community playlist alongside your paid one, you need Premium. For example, you could have your main provider for English channels and a second provider for international content — both active in TiviMate at the same time, with a unified channel list and EPG.
DVR Recordings#
Record any live channel to your device storage or a USB drive. Schedule single recordings or entire series from the EPG guide. Record one channel while watching another. No other IPTV player at this price point offers DVR functionality — even apps that cost 10x more often lack it.
Multi-Screen View#
Watch up to 4 channels simultaneously on one screen. This is the feature that makes TiviMate Premium a no-brainer for sports fans. During a busy match day, you can monitor the Premier League, Champions League, NFL, and your local sports channel all at once.
Full 7-Day EPG#
The free version shows a limited 2-day guide. Premium gives you the full week with show descriptions, episode information, and the ability to schedule recordings and set reminders directly from the guide view.
5 Devices#
Multiple-device activation is subject to the current plan and device terms shown by TiviMate.
Is TiviMate Premium Worth It?#
Here is an honest assessment based on how you use TiviMate:
- One provider, just watching live TV: Free version is sufficient. Skip Premium.
- Two or more IPTV providers: Premium pays for itself immediately with unlimited playlists.
- Want to record live TV: Premium is your only option — and at the current annual Premium price shown in TiviMate's Companion app (or the current lifetime price shown in TiviMate's Companion app), it is cheaper than a single month of any cloud DVR service.
- Sports fan watching multiple games: Multi-screen view alone justifies the price.
- Multiple TVs in the house: One subscription for 5 devices is exceptional value.
- Heavy EPG user: The full 7-day guide with descriptions and reminders is a major quality-of-life upgrade.
How Does TiviMate Pricing Compare to Alternatives?#
| App | Price | DVR? | Multi-Screen? | Devices |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| TiviMate Premium | the current annual Premium price shown in TiviMate's Companion app | Yes | Yes (up to 4) | 5 |
| IPTV Smarters Pro | Free | No | No | Unlimited |
| IMPlayer | Check current vendor pricing | Yes | No | 5 |
| OTT Navigator | $3.99 one-time | No | No | 1 |
| Televizo | $2.49 one-time | No | No | 1 |
Feature and pricing comparisons change over time, so compare the current offerings rather than treating this as a permanent ranking. IMPlayer costs more per year (unless you buy lifetime), and the free alternatives lack recording and multi-screen entirely. For what it offers, compare the current plan price and features before purchasing.
