Quick Answer: TiviMate recording depends on available storage and the device's ability to write the recording destination. If a recording fails, check free space, the selected destination, permissions and whether the source stream can actually be recorded.
Before You Record#
TiviMate lists recording as a supported feature, but recordings still depend on the TV device, storage and source stream.
Check Available Storage#
Long recordings can consume substantial storage. Before scheduling multiple recordings, check the free space on the device or selected storage destination.
Check the Recording Destination#
Review TiviMate's recording settings and confirm that the selected location is available. If you recently removed or changed external storage, an old destination may no longer work.
Recording Failed?#
- Confirm the device has free space.
- Confirm the destination still exists.
- Test a short recording.
- Check whether live playback works normally.
- Check whether the same issue affects multiple channels.
Recording vs Provider Limits#
TiviMate is a player and does not provide the underlying TV streams. If a source fails during normal playback, recording from that source may fail too.
