TiviMate Playlist Not Updating? 9 Things to Check

Quick Answer: When a TiviMate playlist stops updating, first verify the playlist URL or login details, then refresh the playlist and test the same source outside the app if possible. A player can only display what its playlist source provides.

1. Check the Source#

Confirm that your M3U URL or Xtream Codes credentials are still valid. If the provider changed the URL, username, password or server address, TiviMate cannot refresh the old source.

2. Refresh the Playlist#

Open the playlist settings and use the available update or refresh action. Give the app enough time to download the updated channel list.

3. Test Your Network#

Open another app on the same TV and confirm the device has working internet access. A playlist update can fail even when the TiviMate interface itself opens normally.

4. Check for Expired Access#

If your provider uses account-based access, verify that the subscription or credentials are still active. TiviMate does not provide the underlying channels or subscription.

5. Recheck M3U Formatting#

If you are using an M3U URL, make sure the complete URL was entered. Do not add spaces or remove URL parameters supplied by the source.

6. Check Xtream Codes Details#

For Xtream Codes, verify the server address, username and password separately. One incorrect field can prevent the playlist from loading.

7. Update the App#

If the playlist works elsewhere but repeatedly fails in TiviMate, check whether an app update is available.

8. Avoid Rebuilding Everything First#

Before deleting a working playlist, identify whether the problem is the source, credentials, network or app. This makes recovery easier and avoids unnecessary reconfiguration.

9. Re-add the Playlist as a Last Resort#

If the source is confirmed to work and the saved configuration is corrupted, remove the old entry and add it again using the original provider details.
